douggie, read an interesting stat today that I don't know if true or not, but, Carolina has not won an opening series at home with duke since 1998. Pretty amazing given the parody in the two teams over that span.

Maybe so Gnat. But all that is basically meaningless when these two play. Roy is 10-15 all time versus Coach K. 9-12 at unc and 1-3 while at Kansas. Throw all that out. Roy beat Louisville, Michigan State, and Kentucky. That's all I need to know to understand they are capable of beating anybody.

I don' think he's going anywhere unless he chooses to leave, which every good coach we've had, has done. Cliff Ellis, Rick Barnes, Oliver Purnell, etc ...

Clemson just doesn't put much into the basketball program. It's a shame too, since we are in a premier BBall conference. As long as we aren't in the cellar, Clemson will keep him around.

The Keita injury is a bummer and will be a major issue for SU. We'll see what that brings.

The injury bug. There's not much update. They are calling it a sprained knee and his status is questionable for Wednesday. SU has some options, but none are as good as having Keita. He's been playing this role for 4 years now and has the D down pretty well.

This is the season grind that teams in the power conferences must deal with. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Officials said Tuesday they are keeping an eye on the weather forecast ahead of the big Duke vs. UNC basketball game set for Wednesday night.

"We are monitoring the situation with the ACC. The league's policy is that if the teams and officials can get to the site safely then the game should be played. No changes can be made until at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of the game," said UNC's Steve Kirschner.

The game is scheduled for 9 p.m. at the Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill. It will be broadcast on ESPN.

The Tar Heels are 16-7, 5th in the ACC. The Blue Devils are 19-5, and 4th in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

I think we at least have a chance. I'll let you know whether I would prefer it had been snowed out or not after the game.

Shit.....geneh walked miles home the other night in the last storm. The AD with UNC needs to send people some pix of the SU students camping at the Dome for Duke....sub zero temps, white-outs....even the beer pong was frozen so they subbed out for Grey Goose sludgies.
