Sad day today....
This will be Maryland's last regular season game in the ACC.
Us fans are still not sure whether to be angry, sad, or just zombie like acceptance.

Every other team that moved recently had legitimate strong reasons to make the move.
All the fanbases in places like (texas A&M, CU, Utah, etc) were enthusiastic about the moves.

MD is the lone oddball.

The move is regarded as very unpopular and likely unnecessary....certainly preventable stupidity.

The leaders bungled finances so badly that they have to arrogantly disregard the fanbase to make an unpopular move purely for cash to correct their own mistakes.

There's many people that support the move. I'm not sure if it's you that continues to post that this move is so unpopular. The ACC is nothing like it was. It's practically a new conference with all the recent additions. The Terps no longer have home and homes with Duke, UNC or NC State. Instead they were matched up with Pitt as their "rival". There's a lot of tradition there. MD was a founding member of the ACC, yet they don't get to play these teams twice a year? Throw tradition out the window, it doesn't mean much in college sports anymore.

Maryland is good enough to get hot in the ACC tourney and be a darkhorse to win it.

They can beat anyone in the league with the exception of UNC who has had their number every which way the last 2 years.

They just have a bad habit of agonizing losses in games late. They had Duke, Syracuse, and Virginia all beaten in regulation, yet they choked away all of them in the last possession. They took Clemson to double overtime and lost in typical close game terp fashion.

They finally regrouped today, so it might be a little too late.

The Cuse very impressive on the road at Florida St. who needed that game. Back on track. Glad that J.B. didnt sit guys for rest and let them play like others were claiming would happen. Go Cuse!!!

If Grant needed to be sat he wouldn't of played.

Anyway. Great win on the road, great inside play against those monster 4 and 5s on FSU, 2 7 footers?

Ennis played his usual game, Fair as well, both killing it. Christmas got back into his blocking habits, got his offense going as well, something he's lacked past few games. Grant played a little rusty at the beginning but he got his shit together, so athletic. Cooney brick city until the second half with a few made guys, he needed that! Still needs to get back to what he does best, we need him.

Good road win, BTW Cuse is still undefeated while healthy.

After UNC lost and SU had the 2 seed locked up, I was one wanting SU to rest the starters. But there's a bunch to be said about entering the tournament with some mo. That's one of many reasons why I'm not the coach.

I see your point, but the team needed to give a good ass whooping.

Yep....I wouldn't call that an ass whoopin, but it was good to see SU get above 70. The bench didn't put any points up, though Keita did get 7 boards. Over all it was a solid effort by the starters.

the fsu beatdown doesnt convince me the ship is necessarily righted quite yet. thanks to espn i didnt get to see any of the game but i think cuse has to prove something in the acc tourney to douse the questions still lingering to outsiders.

They actually played almost the 1st half here because of technical difficulties getting the FGCU/Mercer game. At any rate, hopefully Keita and Grant are OK to play. Can't afford to lose either. I also thought JB would sit those two.

Beating FSU like that in Tallahassee is, IMO an impressive win....so congrats.
