Miss his announcing of games. To be honest, I don't watch nearly as many as I did when he was announcing.

I actually just watched the whole video. All 57:52 of it. It brought back a lot of great memories as well as some that still makes me say 'Why did we break that team up?'. Okay, back to the good memories.

Thanks for the post.

My dad is a big M's fan, and when the video first came out he got it. We wore that thing out, watched it until the VHS just couldn't take it anymore. A couple years ago, I got a hold of another copy, and gave it to him for his birthday. My mom tells me he watches it at least once a month (even went out and got a VCR just so he could watch that 1 VHS tape).

I'm pissed, I had that VHS and I can't find it anywhere. The Seahawks Super Bowl video was great but My Oh My was 10 times better as IMO that late run the Mariners had dwarfed the feeling of the Super Bowl win. Still remember our District let us out early so we could catch the one game playoff, just great memories. The double IMO is still the great moment in Seattle sports history, and had it been a NY, LA or Boston team with that hit Dave's call of it would be one of the most iconic calls in baseball history instead of just regional.

Mariners in the mid 90's had the potential too become a dynasty .... Bad decisions by upper management just didn't let it happen...

If we ever win it all I'm sure I won't be the only one saddened for just a few moments thinking about how Dave didn't get a chance to see it happen.

Of course I might be too old to know what's going on around me by the time that's likely to happen.

I remember the Brock & Salk show the day he died... I literally was teary-eyed in my car... A lot of great memories from Dave... From working in the garage to listening to the games while camping...

That was tough... His voice will ring forever in Seattle though...

I will say at least the last couple seasons they've attempted too put some talent out there ... I feel like the talent level is probably the best it's been for the last decade.... The big question is this though, if the Marines do turn a corner this year and make the playoffs, WILL this ownership group be willing to keep the talent around .. Because it was painful watching one star after another leave town for prospects too save money in years past... Your not gonna get to the series doing shit like that.... Mariners always like too keep 1 or 2 stars around and fill the roster with nothing but scrubs.... That's their MO ...

All M's fans should have to watch that Dave video at this time, would be a good prescription considering how the season started. Dave's voice takes me back to my childhood, and the moments in that video are the moments that keep us watching every night waiting for that next moment; even the gut wrenching losses we seem to keep having. To hear him call a Felix game in the playoffs would have been amazing, but grateful that we had him as ours for as long as we did.

A side note, A-Fraud has lamented himself as a Yankee whether good or bad. I remember him a Mariner, I remember being livid when he left and anticipating his return with Texas, but when I think of him I think of the Yankees. With that being said, seeing him in a Mariners uniform is flat out weird; it's almost as if I forgot watching him for those couple of years.
