Or evaluate it. Still not conceding that the guys that they draft were ever going to be MLB hitters.

Two guys on that list have impressed me with how they have played so far this season, Marte and Carson Smith.

Was very excited for Alex Jackson getting first full season, so far disappointing. Although I am more willing to give him a pass because he has had a fair amount of injuries this season.

We've discussed Peterson in another thread.

Kivlehan is interesting. I really like his versatility and power. Has been inconsistent though. Versatility would be a factor to get him to the majors.

Austin Wilson: another guy I had high hopes for but I don't think he can figure it out at the plate.

Edwin Diaz: really like this kid. Should still have some filling out to do. Still young and still has some seasoning left to do in the minors. Guy to keep an eye on though. Started out the season doing very well in single A advanced but has struggled in AA so far.

Luiz Gohara is a big lefty. Like what I've seen so far I figure he has a bright future. Still a ways off though as I believe he is the youngest guy on this list. Definitely a guy to keep an eye or two on.

Yarbrough was one of my favorite minor league pitchers going into the season. Still is. Had some injury stuff come up. Started the season unhittable but has since been getting knocked around a fair bit. I think he is on the DL currently.

wasn't saying that we have amazing prospects or anything, but those two i listed are still babies.

i haven't watched much milb this season even though I subscribed. getting close to where it's all i'm going to be watching, really, so i might actually be able to comment on some of these guys in a few weeks, fwiw.

I'll give Alex Jackson a pass. The M's were pretty aggressive putting him in full season ball to start the year. He was doing bad, got injured but then started hitting in Everett. .259/.355/.444 before another injury.

DJ Peterson is the disappointment. For some unknown reason he messed around with his swing (ala Ackley) before going back to what made his successful in the first place. Since going back to his swing hes hitting decent.

Yeah I have been watching bits and pieces of Rainiers games fairly often. But I have listened to a lot of the lower A affiliates whenever there is a pitcher that I am intrigued by starting. But milbtv is pretty awesome and the fact that you can get an app for it on your phone is pretty sweet too especially for listening to games.
