I was excluding Cano & Cruz. Talking about the 7 guys mainly

Kyle Seager had a 122 OPS+ from 2013-14. It's 101 this year, along with his BABIP (.248) being well below his career average (.289). His batted ball types aren't far off from what they were last year, though his FB% is considerably down from his career average.

LOL Farrell blows. Probably should have brought Buchholz out for the 9th. Buchholz was rolling all night long.

The Yankees have looked good against average to decent teams this year, but the Royals have made us look bad.

This game did not bother me because who we had startng. Friday's game did because it was our ACE

Not just the pitching. Our D has been bad all three games, and other then a couple of HRs yesterday our O has not been good either. CC looked good his last two starts, that and the fact we have two off days this week are the only good things to take out of this weekend.

I would have liked for them to be at least competive when they are playing the top teams.

If a guy that's made 21 starts over the last four seasons combined is your "ace", then your staff isn't very good.

Tanaka injured true ace of staff
CC old and a shell of former shelf
Eovaldi throws a 98 MPH fastball straight down the middle
Chase Whitey is a game kids in Baltimore like to play (sorry BK couldn't resist)
Pinada and his 21 starts is all that is left for our ace

Well who is the yankees ace at the moment? Damn sure ain't CC and tanaka is on the DL. Pineda is the only logical option at this point

precisely my point. it might not be as bad as the shape of the Sox rotation right now (though I'm not too worried about Buchholz/Porcello, but the rest blow).

It just amazes me how guys like Eovaldi and Joe Kelly have such nasty stuff, but don't know how to use it at all.

as much as I appreciate Wakefield's career with the Sox, I really wouldn't be the least bit upset if the Red Sox never had another knuckleballer in my lifetime.

edit: just looked at some of Wake's stats, and I was shocked to see he had 4 seasons where he finished in the top 10 (AL) in K/9.

I just don't understand why Mike Nap-all day-opli keeps swinging and missing. How hard is it to keep your shoulder in and hit the ball. Front shoulder pulls out all over the place...bat covers only a quarter of the plate. Anything middle out is missed. Stay in and make contact...you're a big, strong and can hit it far if contact is made.

1 run, again. Will the hitting come around? It is early. Everybody has flaws in this division, keeps me optimistic. We have to start hitting...have to believe we will. Pitching hasn't been that bad.

Only fitting that the Red Sox pitching had been better of late, but the offense couldn't score any runs. Offense finally puts some runs on the board and Porcello gets shelled.
