Isn’t Luciano hurt? Possibly for the season?
Luciano is done for the year, last I heard. He is still on the RiverCats' 7 day IL. Bring up Fitzgerald.Isn’t Luciano hurt? Possibly for the season?
I would be OK with giving Fitz a look-see, though.
I have certainly seen enough of DeJong, though.
Interesting decision to put Matos in left and Haniger in right. Is Haniger healthy enough to take that spot? I know that Matos has shown some deficiencies in the outfield but is it really better with this configuration? I'm curious.
I THINK Matos has a semi-noodle, doesn’t he? He has defensive potential, but he has been showing his age with his OF play at the MLB level.Interesting decision to put Matos in left and Haniger in right. Good points. Just found it interesting considering Haniger got rushed back and Matos is supposed to be a possible Gold Glover (with some problems currently).I THINK Matos has a semi-noodle, doesn’t he? He has defensive potential, but he has been showing his age with his OF play at the MLB level.
I don’t mind this configuration. Haniger is nothing special, but he is a vet who (theoretically) should be able to handle the more demanding position.
This time I'm not trying to complain. More just trying to understand the configuration.Even more so, I think it is picking nits to complain about that. Having defensive flexibility is a good thing, regardless. And as long as Pedo isn’t out there, I am happy.
Matchup moveInteresting move by the Cubs to PH for Wisdom in the 3rd inning while they are up 4-0, against the Giants.
Still, why burn through the bench so early when you already have a decent lead?Matchup move
Tauchmann started vs Walker yesterday and Wisdom PH for him in the 3rd when Walker got pulled
That may be, but any team playing the Giants right now are going to look good (except, apparently, the Reds). Right now, the Giants will be lucky to finish the season at .500.Cubs may currently be the best team in baseball
Very reminiscent of Atl from a few years ago where they were hovering slightly below. 500 through 100 games despite great advanced stats then the wins started flowing like the analytics suggested they should have been
Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them make the WS especially if Stroman comes back at full strength
Lol true. Cubs have been doing this to everyone thoughThat may be, but any team playing the Giants right now are going to look good (except, apparently, the Reds). Right now, the Giants will be lucky to finish the season at .500.
