Whoa Stokesy! Sure thing brother. I like watching the patient, methodical at bats too. FPOM are frustrating as hell. I was more piggy-backing off of what Cal was saying about last year's postseason success, rather than making a declaration on what I'd prefer to watch. I'd much rather watch a team of Scutaro's and Posey's than a team of Panda's and Pence's.

It's all good, as long as we win.

:L And now Posey GIDP with the bases loaded. On the 2nd pitch. :L

Hoping for more, there.

Casilla inserted into Posey's spot in the order. Makes sense, Casilla is hitting .333, same as Posey. Don't lose much there.

Milk!

91 wins with 6 to play... I would be happy with 3-3, but would be ecstatic with 4-2 or better. Keep the blood flowing for the REAL games...

We have 2 series remaining... I wonder if Boch is telling the guys to win both series as if they were playoff series. That would be a GREAT way to prep. If they win the first 2 in SD, then tank game 3, I think it would mean there is good chance that is the coaching strategy...

Didn't know Timmy was scheduled for game 3 in Sandy Eggo.

If the rotation remains as-is, it would be his start...

Strong tomorrow, Bum Saturday...

If the rotation holds:

Tron/Bum/Tim @ SD
Cain/Z/Tron @ LA

Game 1: Cain 5 days rest
Game 2: Bum 8 days rest
Game 3: Tim 9 days rest

Then, of course, we'd re-set our rotation for the NLCS. :hand:

Do you think they might throw Timmy in game 2, so he can pitch at home where he's much more confident and has done so much better? Timmy starting a game at the Reds park scares me.

What are Bums Home/away splits this year? I know in '10 he was AWESOME on the road, but I think I saw/heard he struggled on the road this year? (I am at work and do not have the time to do my own dirty work, sorry)

Giants are 5-0 in Timmy's last five road starts.

IP - ER in those five starts:

7 - 2
6 - 1
5 2/3 - 1
6 1/3 - 2
6 - 3

In his last six home starts, the Giants have lost four of those.

Fair enough, I was just wondering.

I really don't. I think you throw your best two pitchers at AT&T, and hope you go up 2-0, figuring you can win one on the road.

So do you go Cain/Bum, with Cain going in game 5 in Cincy, or Bum/Cain, with Bum going in game 5? I am concerned with sending Cain out there in Cincy. He is an extreme fly ball pitcher. Leading with Bum also sets up Cain for game 1 in the NLCS.

You go with your best pitcher first. Cain in game 1. If he gets beat by HRs in game 5, then so be it. I'm hoping for a 2-0 lead going into Cincy, then either Zeets or Timmah coming through so there is no game 5.
