I have no reason to think FZ and/or Kap will not be back next year. The “Lunatic Fringe” is fed up with them, but that is nothing new. I have heard more rumors that FZ has been secretly extended than any whispers that he is on a hot seat.

I would think that the owners would see another missed playoffs as a red flag. Guess I'm wrong. But I think you have the theory (if I'm remembering correctly) that this ownership isn't willing to put in the money to build a championship team nor the work of tearing down and rebuilding. This middling effort would sit that situation well.
