Really bad. If he was 40+ years old his leg would have snapped off. As it is, it looks like he's going to shake it off.

He essentially had his foot slip just before he touched the bag, which caused his leg to hyper-extended, and then his leg acted like a pole vault for his body.

The Astro player landed on first base with his left leg fully extended. Landed on it completely straight and could be a hyperextension? The resulting dive looked like he stepped on a landmine

Gonzalez made a leap toward 1st, hit the bad awkwardly (very front of bag), and flew in the air. It was as if 1st base was a small trampoline or something. Luckily, he landed/rolled on his side and not his ankle, arm, etc. I bet he's o.k.

I'm sure it'll be all over sports center.
