Percentage-wise it works out because they score so few runs. There is rarely a need for a shut-down inning.

Desmond's out at first by Lincecum. Wow. I am always amazed when the umps get such a close call correct. It was probably a 1/10th of a second difference between the two feet hitting the bag, but the ump gets it right.
