2. Dunning was ungood;
3. JCP failed miserably to advance the runners

Oh, there was Umpfuckery and Mittfuckery to be sure, but Rookfuckery did us in.

Dodgers made some fine plays today, Marlins made some fine plays in their series, Padres made some nice plays. The Giants are struggling on offense, but they have been torched by some fantastic defense leading them to prevent runs.

Rough way to lose.

I HATE losing to the Dogs!

3. JCP failed miserably to advance the runners

Yup. If Dunning doesn't throw over to first with 2-outs and the pitcher batting, he saves a run. If JCP gets the bunt down, we have runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out, completely changes Blanco's AB.

Annoying baseball lately from the Giants.

Annoying baseball lately from the Giants.

Fundamentally unsound.

Baseball is about the little things, and we are not getting those done.

Bochy should have lifted Kickham after the double to AGon. He had 2 or 3 righties in a row coming up, bring in the righty. The kid looked done, and leaving him in, after the Giants had worked hard to come back to tie, was brutal. And it snowballed from there. Had to use a lot of relievers anyway.

It's a bad stretch, every team has several of these during the season, we are cramming a season's worth into May and June, it seems.

I give you credit though, this was really a "take the bullet" game. Kickham on the road and our hitters couldn't hit. A high risk game which was likely to be a L and you took the risk
