They are below .500 right now, I still like their chances this year though

No I meant teams without expectations coming into the year doing well, the surprises that happen every year.

Not good teams starting slow, expected to do better (like the Cards, Red Sox, Rays, etc).

Milwaukee might be the only answer (not expected to do much, looking like contenders)

I think we chased him off. Now I kinda feel bad, like I kicked a puppy.

I mean, BoB and I are kinda alike. We both enjoy writing (I get paid to write, he does it for fun). So that's one area where we are alike.


I do get why he wants to stay positive and he loves this team but there have to be boundaries

I have zero problem with positivity, it's just you want to shake the guy and say 'Go Giants, but have a little realism too...'. He roots like my son.

Well, to be fair, Blanco is a legit 4th OF due primarily to his defense. Overall, Beast might not end up being a huge upgrade. But, I think he will.
