MLB is asking for a lot. They're asking for players to change the way been sliding for their entire life. Thats hard tough when most guys been doing it for 10 to 15 years at minimum

I get wanting to keep players safe and not wanting players grabbing their opponents leg when sliding into the base, but it's hard to see this working out without having controversy consistently.
