I gots a smallish 'mount-a-vcash on the Padres in case Kershaw gets food poisoning
Should be interesting to see Kemp on the receiving end of Kershaw's curveball.

Meh. Even the best farm systems in baseball aren't guaranteed to translate into MLB success. The Indians farm system was continually ranked as one of the top three farms through the mid to late aughts, and what did that get them? One playoff appearance.

I'm not saying that it's not good to have an elite farm system, because obviously it is. I'm saying that just because a team has one doesn't mean they're going to be running things in a couple years. Prospects crap out all the time, and, even if they do pan out, youngsters are only one piece of building a sustainably successful team.

exactly! 'Stros always find a way to fuck things up. Although they should be better than the Rangers.

What are the chances of any one giving a shit? WTF, Kirkjian!?

I get the feeling Timmy's not doing his dream job. Seems like he'd be happier performing on Broadway

Red Sox opening in an NL ballpark sucks. Instantly puts Napoli on the bench:

1. Betts-CF
2. Pedroia-2B
3. Ortiz-1B
4. H. Ramirez-LF
5. Sandoval-3B
6. Victorino-RF
7. Bogaerts-SS
8. Hanigan-C
9. Buchholz-P

Instead of acquiring Hamels, they get to face him on Opening Day.

NL need to man the fuck up and go to the DH rule also.
