This could happen at any top school, so nothing against Oregon... kids get a long leash these days if you are talented on the field... and then when the sport is done with you, you get tossed out like the trash if you didn't take care of your money.

If I don't lock my windows at night, does that make it okay for you to rob me? What if I don't lock my door either? What if I take the front door of the hinges and leave my giant plasma screen in full view of you and anyone that walks by?

Certainly the accountability can't be ignored. If I leave my door open, I have to accept some level of responsibility if you rob me. But that doesn't change the fact that you robbed me, nor does that change the fact that you are indeed a robber. Just because I made it easy to rob me, and even made it look inviting is no excuse. You still committed a robbery. Blame the victim all you want in any situation you want, but that doesn't change the reality that a crime was still committed.

Certainly in many r*pe and sexual assault cases the victim put themselves in a bad situation. But that doesn't change the fact that a crime was committed. You can call the victim a slut, a whore, and a tramp all you want. You might even be right. But raping a slut is no less a crime than raping a virgin.

Blaming the victim is simply a way to rationalize utterly reprehensible behavior. Claiming "she wanted it" in this or any other case is a wreckless claim thrown out by the weak-minded. You have no idea what she did or didn't want.

She wanted it. If she didn't want it, she wouldn't have willingly entered the bathroom. Or willingly taken a taxi to their house after being "raped".

"Geee, I was just raped, so I think it would be a good idea to go to their house, maybe we'll have milk and fucking cookies, or maybe they'll "r*pe" me again."

Stop it, she got what she wanted. Now she's trying to turn it around, and ruin the lives of these players.
