Waddle was a surprise honestly. How he wasn't rated 5 stars on all services is perplexing to me. He looked like the best Freshman Wide Receiver in the country this year.

The true freshmen on our defense didn't get a whole lot of playing time(like I wanted them to), but an afterthought 3 star NT Jordan Davis was our biggest impact true freshman on defense. Tyson Campbell was a 5 star and played a lot, and did well considering he was a true freshman CB playing opposite of DeAndre Baker, but when Davis was put in the lineup is when we started getting pressure on QBs. He didn't get any playing time until after the LSU game, so he wouldn't have played enough to get on this list, but I'd like to give him a shoutout.

Would definitely have to give some respect to Adrian Martinez from the Nebraska standpoint. Dude will be a stud down the line. Definitely a silver lining on a less than ideal year.

I'm still suffering from PTSD due to Rondale.

I picked him up after week 1 in 3 fantasy leagues...I finished 1st, 2nd and 1st...coincidence? probably not. Haskins/Tua combo at QB in the two I won probably didn't hurt either.

Yeah, he was pretty electric. I happened to catch the game and immediately thought who is this kid and whose roster is he on. Hopefully he keeps his head about him, because he could be special.

I'm trying to ease back into football talk because the Board to Board silliness is starting to get old to me. Like most things, it was fun for a while but it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

I take it the OP's list is the 1st Team. With the Freshman, I don't know if the have a 2nd or third team, but if they do and Adrian Martinez isn't on one of them, the whole thing is garbage. I've got no problem with Trevor Lawrence getting the nod but I think Clemson would've been just as good if they'd kept Kelly Bryant. Mr. Lawrence better do something big in the Playoffs, or it'll just prove my point.

Adrian Martinez made Nebraska at least respectable this year.

Also, Maurice Washington, the sky's the limit with that guy but he came in a lot skinnier than I thought he'd be. A year or two at the training table and in the weight room and he's going to be All B1G, at the very least. I fully expect Mr. Robinson to be on this list next year... if our O-Line starts playing worth a damn.

You? That fucker decommitted from Texas for fucking Purdue. I was all kinds of hyped for that kid after following his senior year of high school. I'm not shocked at all he showed out for Purdue this year. He and Waddle were probably our two biggest misses last year on players we normally would have landed if we hadn't sucked for so long now. :tsk:

Off the field questions is why he wasn't a 5 star.

Waddle had a handler which Texas wasn't going to deal with.
