Buddy of mine brought up a good point. Would Donovan on the bench be an unwanted distraction? Say we're tied or down a goal late and somebody else gets put in, does that create a problem? I mean really the top what 13-15? will actually play, if Donovan isn't amongst them is it worth having him sit on the bench?

I dunno. I'm not all in on Donovan, I'm not sure if this is the right move one way or another.

obviously it would depend on how exactly?? like if someone came in before Donovan who's skill or game revolves on speedster or someone tall who can be effective in the box on set pieces etc.... then no concern from me perspective...

If LD is on the bench, i couldn't see that being a distraction... LD never came off that for me and with his Int'l experience, I would blindly believe that could help the other younger squad members...

Idk where the distraction would come from... media sources would try to make something of it I bet but nothing with high attention IMO

Said it before and I'll say it again... Ghana is a must win.... just a must win...

not to say USA couldn't pull off the upsets(wouldn't be called a group of death if they couldn't) vs Port/Ger but GHANa is simply a must win. get those 3 pts and hope to salvage at least 1 in two games...

no way... this is his first Cup run... unlucky for him its the Group of death...

its a process, he's changing the Int'l style of play/roster/personnel for USA... beating Central America n Canada won't help our country grow...

It will. 4 gives us a fair chance with goal differential. Don't count Ghana out on shocking either Germany or Portugal as well.

To help your case about Ghana being capable of winning over Portugal/Germany. I know it's not the same roster but in the 2010 WC, Germany and Ghana were in the same group and Germany won a tight 1-0 game with a goal in the 2nd half
