Love me some Houston EDGE Nelson Ceasar on day 3... Not great against the run but love his rush ability and upside.

You really gotta get your edge early this year, it isn't that good after Round 4... Ceasar is a the one guy I like on day 3 right now that I think can be something big down the line.

George always drafts better for other teams.

Could the Broncos do something totally unexpected like take Cooper DeJean at 12 ?!?!?

Or trade down a bit, and take DeJean before Bo Nix ?!?!?!

Nix could fall like Drew Lock, right ??

Does Sean Payton risk that if he likes Nix ??

Draft Drama !!!!

How's this for a ray of sunshine:

Caleb Williams = Jets' era Geno Smith
Drake Maye = Christian Hackenberg
Jayden Daniels = Bryce Young

hyperbole ??

That would be funny if Denver had Cooper DeJean and Riley Moss.

My Broncos picks in the same draft George was the Dolphins GM in.
Trade up for McCarthy when I was trying to move down for Nix. It was too cheap to pass. Only costing me a 3rd. My biggest letdown was not getting a DL but the value wasn't there and I refuse to reach in these things with value always on the board.

I wasn't planning to take a second CB but the value of Simpson in Round 6 was just too good to pass.
Rosemy-Saintjack is a fun pick to me. Has all the tools. In an offense where they had a ton of great players and a great defense where their offense didn't have to really open up the playbook a ton.... I love Rosemy-Saintjack, think he will be a better pro then college player. Bell seems like a Payton type of TE to me... H-back who is a great receiver. RB was just based on value and we do have 2 UFA's at RB after this year. I think Nelson Ceaser is going to be a great situational pass rusher in the NFL. Not great vs the run but he is a potential double digit sack guy. Jones has all the tools and really starting putting it all together at FSU this year just in time to declare. Love the value I got. Will hit on some DL free agents that I had draftable grades on.

Denver Broncos

Round 1- J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan
Round 4- Jarrian Jones, CB, Florida State
Round 5- Marshawn Lloyd, RB, USC
Round 5- Nelson Ceaser, EDGE, Houston
Round 5- Jaheim Bell, TE, Florida State
Round 6- Marcus Rosemy-Saintjack, WR, Georgia
Round 6- Jaylin Simpson, CB, Auburn

This looks like a damn solid draft. I'm just not one who is on the JJ McCarthy bandwagon. Would be a bummer to not grab a 2nd round pick and to lose our 3rd rounder. However, if McCarthy is Payton's guy.....it would be a low cost to pay. Most are assuming that the Broncos would have to give us multiple first rounders to go up and get him. Let him be a Viking, I say.

I am more in the middle on McCarthy. I love his physical tools but he is soooooo RAW coming out. My plan was to move down grab an extra 2 and get Nix.. Was offered this trade so went with it since it wasn't real expensive to move up and get him in this scenario. Like any mocks Bo Nix fell way past where he will actually go. Just couldn't find anyone to move down with early on before I was on the clock so went this route. Ideally, would have liked to add a 2 and keep my 3rd and grab a DE with one of those two picks... However, I figured I would take the bait on McCarthy here due to his physical traits and believe that Payton could work with it... I'm not sure McCarthy will be the guy Payton is all in on... As I keep saying I don't think we end up with any of the top 4 QB's that will go in this draft.

16 days until the draft. Time to figure this all out. Move down and get Bo Nix or Michael Penix? Stuck in the middle between quarterback hungry teams Minnesota and the Raiduhs? Go BPA at 12 and let the chips fall where they may? Sacrifice the farm again and move up in the draft?

We're getting closer. DC can feel the heat, as we expect him to have all the answers. Mingo has his Bo Nix pajamas ready to go and the rest of us don't have a clue.

Payton, Paton and the Broncos have played this very close to the vest. The whole NFL world seems to be intrigued by what the Broncos might do on draft day. A little over two weeks and this mystery will finally be solved. A few days before that, we'll get our first look at the new unis. For some reason, I'm dreading that day.

Go Broncos!
