I brought this name up earlier in the year.

Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon is killing it.

and again. I am not predicting we go WR early this year but I am just talking prospects in general.

Love Troy Franklin and Xavier Worthy. Worthy is tiny but he is an x factor playmaking WR. These are two guys I will continue to talk about a lot.

Franklin is very underrated going into this year but will soon get his love.

Although they have to go through it this year the Bears were very smart to not draft a QB last year and wait until this year and fail with Fields again. As you know I wasn't high on the QB class last year. I would have taken Richardson #1 because although he has the highest boom or bust rate I didn't think the top QB's boom rate was good enough to not risk Richardson in this case. I would have gone Richardson, Stroud, Young last year.

The Broncos know firsthand what it’s like whiffing on a supposed franchise quarterback so I personally would rather not take that chance on a school known for QB’s who bust when we‘re in the middle of one of the worst losing season streaks in franchise history. But hey if Williams isn’t a bust I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong.

He could be the exception to the rule or he could be another 1st round Heisman winning USC quarterback who never lived up to his potential.

if we wait for the next generational quarterback when Russ retires at least Arch Manning comes from a family with a track record of winning
Elway absolutely sucked at evaluating QBs, which is mind boggling.

BTW, if you have the number one pick, and have a chance at taking a franchise qb, you take it. That’s how you build a great team. Everything else is easier to fall into place once that piece is put into place

2025 draft. The QB you will hear me rave about is Penn State QB Drew Allar.

But that is a year from now. (Wakes up from staring off in space) let's get back to 2024.

As a GM - Elway cut corners by trying to use his experience to get a QB out of the draft for cheap - and do the same with the best Oline coach - by giving him no top-of-the-line athletes.

Peyton Manning was a good GM during that era.

Elway was a way better GM than people give him credit for. He landed Manning and all that came with it. I don't know why the interweb folks can't give him credit for that. Not to mention drafting a generational pass rusher. He has been better than George so far.

About as surprised to find out he selected none of their draft picks.
