He's been pretty bad so far so nothing he does will surprise me. The 22 draft is one of the worst in franchise history.
I think I count 8 studs drafted between when the Vikings traded down and when they picked again in rd1.

Its hard for me to even speculate how the Chiefs draft would go if Minn just took Trent McDuffie there

Some of the sports talk people in Minnesota got his jacket ready for Canton already.

He's the ultimate traits-based evaluation since he was asked to do so little with Michigan.

It's entertaining to see people use one or two examples of JJ showing a key attribute on game film, but claim other guys don't have that throw in their bag because they didn't routinely use it.

Man everytime I have watched Michigan he looked like an average college player guiding an NFL farm team. Kind of like Stetson Bennett last year. Accuracy is no where near where it needs to be downfield. He was a 4th or 5th round guy, then Jim Harbaugh started talking him up and now he's top 10? Who knows, maybe he is Now Montana, but I don't see it

I have a little bit of a Christian Ponder feel about him!

Yeah, not buying into the McCarthy hype at all.

I think both JJ and Maye need to sit a year. I wouldn't say they are overhyped or anything but they aren't ready

Well...I am sad. I really wanted Rome there at 8. I will regroup and make my selection here soon once my tears from my sadness clear up.

McCarthy will be the best of second best QB in this draft. He has the best overall tools in this draft outside Caleb Williams. Didn't cost a lot to get him either.

I really don't think Denver will end up with any of the top 4 QB's in the draft this year. At the same time they are really almost forced to grab a QB early. I don't know what to do with them. My initial hope was to move down, pick up extra picks and take one of the "other" QB's but then when I was approached about a trade and at a resonable price I went with it. I like McCarthy, I don't love McCarthy. Like his physical tools and while I do think he has a good amount of bust potential with the physical tools he still has to tap into, I think he is way better valued and evaluated by people closer to process. I just don't love the other QB's I would moving down for enough to really pass on McCarthy here. I knew my first round pick wasn't likely going to be leaving me doing flips. Moreso, nervous, hopeful and close my eyes and hope for the best. I feel forced here. The tools are there but it is going to take a year or two, IMO... Yes, I am nervous about McCarthy but it is just a mock. I won't lose my office and recruiting job over it.. Pressure is on Paton/Payton. ;)

He won't be better than Daniels. I don't even think he will be as good as a couple of others drafted later

Oh, we have a know it all GM again. ;) Hopefully those NFL teams are taking your resume serious so they can be the next dynasty.

How is what he said any different than what you said?

Who is the know it all? I just had an opinion about you're absurd statement. You said he would be the 2nd best QB in the draft. Wanna wager the real NFL folks won't make him the 2nd or even the third QB taken?

Pick will be in soon.... IRL i hope the jets trade this pick, move down to 15-25. and get a 2nd round pick in the deal... it will also help the decision be easier as they are clearly either going TE or offensive line...

I thought Nabers was slightly better last year but Harrison has a better 2 year body of work with two different QBs so I kinda get why he should be the top dog. Both WRs are a 'run to the podium' situation imo
A lot of great WR's in this draft. There will be a "sleeper" or two that dominate in the NFL. Harrison Jr played with a much worse QB with their #2 hurt essentially most of the year. Nabers played with a top QB and his #2 is a 1st rounder. Huge difference but both will be great.
