I saw two projections recently and both had Seattle under 90 wins. ZIPS at 85 wins and PECOTA at 82.9 wins and 3rd in the division.

88 wins. ZIPS wasn't too far off.

Not to rehash an old statement, but baby Seager should’ve been a Mariner. All Dipoto had to do is not be a complete dick to his older brother. Dipoto’s interactions with players and agents IMO is a bigger deal than Stanton and company opening up the wallet. Stanton can give him a blank checkbook but if no one wants to come here that isn’t on the FO. Losing out of Wong the first go around is on the ownership, gifting Semien and Seager to Texas was on Jerry.

I will repeat myself from this year, Dipoto never won one playoff series with the Angels despite having a Top 10 payroll every year. Our cheap owner is a problem, but you are right that a blank check in the hands of Dipoto is useless.
