Interesting comment I just heard on local radio. With the loss the US catches Italy in the next round. If they won, they would have gotten Serbia who was more of a traditional Big Man. The opinion presented on the radio is that they likely were looking for this outcome. I haven’t followed closely because there’s more compelling sports right now than a B Team “world” competition. Hard for me to believe that they would be that scared of another nation’s team to tank despite just coming with Ant and the All Time Jay Wright Team.
