Love love love the Broderick Jones pick... Both Jones & Wright had a perfect resume last season in the SEC. Crazy good considering the edge talent they went up against and both are relatively inexperienced at the position. Curious how many conversations the Steelers had with Chicago and/or Tennessee or Philly and what Khan was offering to try to move up to get Paris Johnson.

I hope the Steelers are able to sell #32 to fall back a few spots and still land a guy they want. JPJ, Branch, Avila or Torrence. Definitely thinking they target either DB, IOL or ILB.

Brian Branch is basically getting Mike Hilton back.

I'm not against it in R2. But I also think there are better players available.

My order of operation is:

Drop back a few picks.
Porter
Avila
Darnell Washington
Simpson
Mayer
Schmitz
Sanders

Hone in on a DL for the original 2nd.

Avila played all 5 spots on the line last season for TCU and never allowed a sack the last two years. Not even against Georgia in the championship game.
I would REALLY like to get him. He could backup the IOL this season while training to be starting OC next year.
Interesting with Avila. You're a lot higher on him than I am. I like Schmitz a good deal more.

Not that I'm down on Avila. At all.

Whatever happens, I'm trusting Weidl/Khan to make the right call.

I can't fault their offseason so far. No reason to start now.

Per a league source with knowledge of the situation, the Falcons, Titans, and Raiders were “desperately” trying to move back into the first round.

(...)

Regardless, it’s something to watch as round two approaches. The Raiders are at 38, the Titans are at 41, and the Falcons are at 44.

They hit all 3 of the major needs in the first two rounds of this draft.

Even if it ended here for us, this was a good draft.
My thoughts exactly they filled every need very well. The 3rd round could be filler for LB or even traded for more picks in the 4th and 5th.

Nice having that luxury after “winning” on the picks made.

I like everything so far. I agree with @Superbelt, even without another pick, I'm just fine with how it turned out. Anything we get in 6 and 7 might just be camp fodder anyway, so I'm good with fliers on just about any positions now. I assume a WR for the third, but maybe not with the regime change.

B. Jones is a monster pick!!!! I'm good with Porter in round 2.... Third round, I'm curious as to how many tight ends does one team need???? SMH

Deadly with the two TE set now. And he is monster blocker.

And getting back the 4th round pick. Khan has been very good so far!

So if the Steelers continue to draft the Georgia offense does that mean Stetson Bennett will be a 7th round pick? :D
