Still not crazy about the depth here, but it looks a lot better. I put A-Rob as WR4 because I don't think he is a slot guy (correct me if I'm wrong). Wouldn't mind seeing Boykin back in the fold for cheap to help bolster things up, or a mid-round rookie.

Hopefully he can still get separation and contribute.....He hasn't had the best scenario for QB's.....Bortles, Titty Kisser, Fields and Stafford.....at 29 I wonder what he has left.....I'd feel better with another WR joining this group, not sure what is out there that is worth it though.....

Well with Matt Canada's vertically-challenged system they will need WRs with a larger catch radius. A-Rob fits the bill.

He's averaged a little over 10 yards a catch the last two seasons, he should be a perfect fit.....
All the skill talent in the world but won't allow a primary/hot route further than 5-10yds.

  • Interior OL bolstered. Seumalo is a day 1 starter. Still yet to know exactly how these pieces fit together. Herbig is a capable starter and could push for OC or move someone else inside (Daniels).
  • ILB group completely revamped. Bye bye to the Jack & Bush experiment, and say hello to blue-collar studs like Holcomb & Roberts. I still think they need to draft that cover-capable ILB, unless they plan on shifting to big-dime packages more often. Muse simply softens the blow of losing ST guys like Allen & D Watt.
  • DL depth pieces put into place to help fill the void after Alualu & Wormley. Still think they need talent to rebuild this unit. Leal is the most promising piece they have for the future. Guys like Ogunjobi, Fehoko, Watts, Adams, & Loudermilk can certainly bridge the gaps.
  • DB pieces that theoretically should help fill the voids after Sutton & Edmunds. This has me a little more concerned.
  • High upside WR3/4 that has a large catch radius. Like an aged version of Pickens. Depth was scary thin before him, but still need talent here just in case CA3 or Miller don't pan out. I'd hate to think of Olszewski being depended on.
  • Last, but not least... Another punter for camp.

By far & away my favorite acquisitions have been at IOL & ILB. We'll have to wait & see how the rest of the pieces help out.

All signs are pointing to the Steelers looking to move up to grab an OT. The cliff comes fast in terms of impact talent, so if they want 1 then they need to be aggressive.

Tier 1
Peter Skoronski, Northwestern
Paris Johnson, OSU
Broderick Jones, Georgia

If they don't find a suitor then maybe they can move back and find 1 of these 2.

Tier 2
Darnell Wright, Tennessee
Anton Harrison, Oklahoma

Hell yea. This takes the pressure off of taking a WR altogether.

I like this mixture of talent. You've got a good mix of alpha types & underneath grinders capable of working inside & out. Will be interesting to see who they give KR/PR duties to. Obviously that is Gunner's job to lose based off of experience, but CA3 should be given ample opportunity.

I'm interested in seeing what CA can do back there and as a 3/4/5 receiver. I suppose that's what the preseason is for, but I'll be a homer and have high hopes for now.
Indeed. Obviously we got robbed of those high hopes his rookie year... All that excitement and we didn't even get to see him play a down.

I'm hoping he can be a John Brown type receiver (ARI & BUF). Small dude that can play between the hashes or stretch the field, and can take on ST return duties.

Tomorrow night. It's almost here.

Will it be a trade-up for Paris Johnson, Christian Gonzales or Jalen Carter?
Stand pat for Porter Jr., Witherspoon, Darnell Wright, Broderick Jones, Myles Murphy or Nolan Smith?
Trade back for Anton Harrison, Deonte Banks?

Something crazy like Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Zay Flowers or Michael Mayer?
