I've owned all three. You pay less for a Ram (or a Dodge as it was called when I owned one)

Ford and Chevy guys think their trucks are better because they claim to have better "resale-value".

But the truth is, the reason you get more for a Ford or Chevy is you paid more. LOL.

You are paying for that extra "trade-in value" when you purchase the vehicle!


Here's another thing to think about....


The first Fords....all had Dodge engines in them.

The reality is, history has shown that both Ford and GM offered more reliable trucks. Every new vehicle comes with hiccups and minor issues, but Ram has had severe problems with their transmissions and such. I haven't heard of those deal-killers in the last generation however with their torque-flight trans or whatever they call it.

It's that reason, and others as well.....I probably would only buy a Ford. I'm still interested in seeing them up close and taking them all for a test.

Dodge and Ford always have sharp looking trucks. Unfortunately, Dodge half tons are pieces of shit. That unibody frame they sit on is awful. Their heavier trucks are pretty solid though

It looks like Chevy is making all their new vehicles look like the Camaro's front end.

Yeah my BIL has that exact truck, same color too.

It is loaded to the gills too. But he will fuck it all up banging into trees at his deer camp as he has done with every other truck he's had before.

His company pays for it and he gets a new one after 60k miles. So he does not give a shit. I asked why get the top of the line then if you are just going to tear it up. He just just shrugs...He said it gets handed down to the service crews as a work truck later.

uh...nope. His Dad owns the company, he is an only child. He's being groomed to take it over and yet he doesn't want it.

It's a plumbing business. He hates plumbing....been working in the biz since he was old enough to hold a flashlight for his Pops.

Damn, it makes a lot of money and doesn't want it. All he'd have to do is hire a bunch of contract plumbers to service the existing customers. I guess he should try to sell it but that might be tough.
