They could pick a garden hose if they win the Superbowl. I wouldn't be mad about it.

I am starting to think about it, for the simple reason that I saw the Senior Bowl and practices and got excited. I love the draft.

I hope they trade down from the end of the first and get a second and a third or so in return. There is value there at RB, WR, TE and other positions we could use to improve.

Right now we have a first and then don't pick until the end of the 4th round, our pick and New England's that we got from the Eric Rowe trade. So, unless we trade down it will be a very long time until we select anyone after.... #32 :D:D:D:D

I'll take OT Mike McGlinchey out of ND. Propably a pipedream that he would land on our spot. He will be off top 10-15?

I actually saw him slide on one mock, but I think he will be long gone, and we don't have ammo to move up.

Mall, I'm not a McGlinchey fan. However, I would trade up for Quenton Nelson, who WILL be a top 10 pick. I don't think McGlinchey is tough enough. Just me.

I know, and agree. I just started a new thread, instead of a 2015 thread. Stay fresh, my friend!

I think they trade as well unless there is a OL or LB they value at that spot. Its not worth staying put for a RB, TE, or WR IMO.

It's a good draft for QB; WR; TE; LB; Edge; RB. Fair for DB. Not good for OL.

A trade down is easily the way to go without a 2nd or 3rd rounder and not picking again till the end of Rd 4. That pick at the end of Rd 1 is good for teams in Rd 2 looking at QB because they have that 5th year option.

If we can sign a mid level OT in FA, and let him battle Big V for LT, that's the way I think we should go. Of course, this is very early, but in about 6 weeks, FA begins. We don't have a clue who we can re-sign or let go in FA, but I want to keep Bradham. Robinson will probably leave, as we hope that Sidney Jones becomes a starter, and Mills moves into the slot. Douglas should move to S, I think. We now have a strong stable of DB's. I also want to keep Corey Graham as backup DB, as he can play every DB position.

It's a bit early in the process but it looks like there's going to be good value in that Rd 2-4 area of the draft... a trade back to get some extra picks would make sense. Unless a higher rated prospect slips to the end of Rd 1 (there's always someone like that every year).

First off we're trading Foles +#32 to Cleveland for their #4 pick. Then we trade back trade back trade back to the mid teens and then reach on a pick that we targeted at 32

Ah yes that would be nice... but Cleveland is actually being run by a competent front office guy now, he wouldn't do a trade like that. But I appreciate your ambition.

OK I'll play along... let's say that were to happen for some reason, I'd stay at 4 and take Saquon Barkley; I think there's going to be a run on QBs at the top... Barkley/Ajayi in Dougie P's offense would be inhumane to the rest of the league.

Agree with Northern. I doubt Cleve would do that, but if they do, grab Barkley, who I think will be the best RB to enter the league since AP, and could even turn out better, since he is a better receiver and blocker.

In addition to the "holes" we have on the roster that need to be fixed--OL, WR--we have some guys likely departing via free agency.

The Eagles have a projected 20 of 22 starters under contract. But some of those projected starters, like Vinny Curry and Jason Peters, make a lot of money, and will either have to restructure or be cut.

The Eagles go into next season $8 million over the cap. Some players like Torrey Smith, Brent Celek and the two above will likely not be coming back for money reasons alone.

Then we have a few FAs we SHOULD try to keep, but who could be too expensive: Trey Burton and Nigel Bradham.

So, in summary, the roster is likely to see some changes due to money reasons, and that may create new holes that have to be addressed in the draft, such as a second TE, another WR, a starting OLB, etc.

We have to re-sign Bradham for sure, and Burton is next to him as importance.

Bradham might get too expensive to keep, and I'd let Burton walk if his demands are too high - he's very valuable to the Eagles in a lot of ways but I don't think we can afford to keep both of them, and we've already got a guy on our PS (Billy Brown) who has a lot of talent as a replacement if given an opportunity. If I had a choice between the two I'd keep Bradham, more valuable to the defense than Burton is to the offense.
