Bottom line is that our 1st and 2nd rounders will need to start Day 1. The team has too many holes for them not to. No drafting for depth or anything like that. We need contributors now. Or, we need to find another 30 million in cap space. I would rather build through the draft.

We still have Colt McCoy and that should concern every fan/supporter of this team. The number one reason to keep him is because he's relatively cheap to keep. Not that he can step in a give us something close to a/our starter, but because he's relatively cheap to keep. A backup like him at 31 years old, with zero upside is taking up a spot, generally reserved for someone who can learn and become a step towards future planning, is basically stealing money. Technically, it's NOT stealing when there's an idiot handing legal tender to you, but by NFL standards, Colt comes to work, keeps his head down and gets paid.

There was a thread concerning how aggressive this team should be in free agency, considering your post and the response that @dad gave you (Re: 1 draftee 2 being unlikely) what's your perspective on what should be done in free agency?

Sport.... its one thing to resign your OWN 30+ year old player who has produced for YOUR team. You know how they fit, you know if they are able to produce in your system, and you are rewarding them for performance they have given YOUR team.

Flip side... signing 30+ pro bowl players from other teams rosters because THEY didn't want to pay said player is what the Redskins do.

Alex Smith is the latest Bruce Smith, Deon Sanders, Adam Archuletta type signing. We make these moves because Danny has no clue, and he hires guys in his own mold..... Player X did well on his last team.... lets go get him.

It's gonna be tough to draft Kyle Rudolph seeing as how he was drafted by Minnesota in 2011.

No links, just my considered opinion. However, it is based on their number one goal which is to shore up the middle of their Defensive line.

There are mocks that have him going there like this one.
