Due to the amount of talent this year, its hard to point out winners and losers this year as far as the draft goes (I'm not counting the Butler trade). Most every team helped themselves out. Only thing I raised an eyebrow on is the Kings trading the 10 pick. I liked the idea of the trade, but not the players they got. I'd much rather have Zach Collins than Justin Jackson, who I don't see as being anything more than a deep rotation bench guy, and the total roll of the dice on Harry Giles. But they got their man in Fox, who should be a stud, so its not like its a total disaster for them.

I'm also sold on the Heat picking Bam. He can be a good player, I just don't like the fit. He's still pretty raw and I can't see him playing with Whiteside. If you're going inside players, at least take a guy with some more polish offensively like John Collins.

Not sure about Giles. He'll probably be the 4th big in the rotation?

If he can get healthy, he will be their best player in time. Big if though. Giles was a risk worth taking.

If I'm the Bulls I give him the option to not pick up his option and explore FA.
If he takes the 24M, then screw him, no buyout.

He could have.
My best guess is he takes the 24M Butler or no Butler.
He's not getting near that anywhere else.
In his head he all along was prob thinking Feb buyout so he could make a playoff run with LeBron.
If he's already signed, then even if bought out, the cap space is gone.
Unless he is truly upset and would agree to a low dollar buyout, he's just going to have to deal with it for several months.
