Nishikori breaks to start the match.

I think he's won every point with a rally more than 3 shots.

This draw is wide open. First time the top 2 seeds were eliminated before the QF since the French in 2004

maybe isner shouldn't feel quite so bad.

zverev the elder has some game.

Yep not at all. Considering he was up 2-0 and dropped the 5th 9-7, I would no longer feel bad if I'm big john

zverev serve/volleyed over a hundred times. not something to laugh about for murray since he had no answer.

with murray OUT, this is most likely the best chance fed will ever have to win another major.

Draw is wide open. I still want my boy Stan to win it but if not him, I would be fine with either Rafa or Roger getting another major

I feel like Kei favorite surface is the US Open. He never does that well here in Australia

Things opening up for Raonic if he can keep his wits about him. 2 best returners in the game are out of the tourny.

Womens tennis is just awful. Serena the only player with a decent 2nd serve. Stosur was the only other I could recall in recent history.

That being said, Coco can beat anyone on any day, but can also lose to anyone.

Yeah I'm just happy for her. I really hope we have an all american semi finals on the women's side. Coco and Venus are 2 wins away from making that happen while we need 2 more wins from Serena and Brady. My guess is we get at least 2 of 4. I love Serena and Venus chances of making it. Brady is a long shot especially since she would have to play Pliskova or the Australian chick if she wins her match today. Coco has a decent shot but Muguruza is solid

Bad thing for Raonic is he's in the bottom half of the draw where 7 of the 8 seeds made it to the round of 16. Only Novak missed out. I'm expecting him to win his match today but his next 2 matches to make the finals should be pretty toug

There is still Stan the Man and Steel 'Nads standing in his way not to mention the distant cousin of Alexander Zverev who reminds me of "Pim Pim"

nadal is a little slower, but can still hit forehands to his opponent's ad side that go up around the ears. probably still kyrptonite for fed, but we can always hope, right? would be nice if somebody eliminates nadal before that.

What's Nadal's career record against Fed on fast hard courts? By my count it's something like 2-4 or 2-5 depending on how one counts.

I know there was quite a bit of talk about how fast the courts were playing compared to past years the few first few days, and it looked like it was playing just as fast for Fed's last two matches. If Nadal plays like he did against Alex Zverev, I think the Fed we've seen for the last two rounds would probably beat him.

Honestly, I think Stan scares me a little more than Nadal at this point.

besides looking incredibly fit, being around martina has probably paid off in ways coco doesn't even really understand on a conscious level.
