The 15 Modern-Era Finalists join three other finalists to comprise 18 finalists under consideration for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2016.

Two Senior Finalists were announced in August 2015 by the Seniors Committee that reviews the qualifications of those players whose careers ended more than 25 years ago.

Ken Stabler, Quarterback -- 1970-1979 Oakland Raiders, 1980-1981 Houston Oilers, 1982-1984 New Orleans Saints

Dick Stanfel, Guard -- 1952-55 Detroit Lions, 1956-58 Washington Redskins

A Contributor Finalist announced in September was selected by the Hall of Fame's Contributor Committee that considers persons who made outstanding contributions to professional football other than players and coaches.

Edward DeBartolo, Jr., Owner -- 1977-2000 San Francisco 49ers

The selectors will thoroughly discuss the careers of each finalist. Although there is no set number for any class of enshrinees, the Pro Football Hall of Fame's current ground rules stipulate that between four and eight new members will be selected each year. No more than five Modern-Era Finalists can be elected in a given year and thus a class of six, seven, or eight can only be achieved if the Contributor Finalist and/or one or both of the Senior Finalists are elected. Representatives of the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche will tabulate all votes during the meeting.

I'd go with

TO
Warner
Favre
Pace
Lynch

...With Harrison & Greene just shy of the top 5.

This would be my answer as well. Although I'm not sure Harrison will ever get in with what's hanging over him from what happened after his career.

Non biased opinion - Atwater deserves it over Lynch.

Biased opinion - Terrell Davis should be in. His stats are miles and miles better than Gale Sayers who's in the HOF and he played 7 years just like TD did. 8,800 total yards and 65 TD's with 90% of that coming in 4 seasons is HOF worthy.

Also interesting to note that people think Warner is a HOF player when he had 6 good/great seasons out of 12 compared to TD who had 4 great seasons out of 7.

I wonder if Favre will go in as a Packer or a Viking.

Only 2 RB's in NFL history have averaged over 100 yards a game on the ground. Jim Brown and Terrell Davis. Jim Brown averaged something around 102 yards per game. Terrell Davis 101.7. Throw in Davis was at his best in the playoffs where he averaged an amazing 142.5 yards per game and 5.6 yards per carry. While his career was short he showed up in the biggest games to have his best games of his career. I doubt he gets in as again it does seem like voters care more about longevity than about being the top player in the NFL for a few years but not having a very long career.

My guess on who gets in...

Favre--should be on every one's list. Easily in.
Orlando Pace--One of the best at his position for a very long time
Terrell Owens--If he didn't have a terrible personality there wouldn't even be a question of whether he was in or not.
Lynch--I think he breaks through the whole pure safeties struggle to get into the HOF. He is a fresh enough name and a big known commentator that I think he gets enough votes
Morten Anderson--He left the league as the leading scoring in NFL history. I mean he was on the All-Decade team twice in the 1980's and 1990's. These are voted on by the HOF Committee so they have obviously liked what they have seen.

To tag along with what @cdumler7 said about Terrell Davis, literally the only knock against him is longevity. He accomplished everything else you could in the NFL as a running back. NFL MVP, Super Bowl MVP, 2x Offensive Player of the Year, 2,000 yard rusher, 2x Super Bowl champion, NFL rushing leader, 3x AFC rushing leader, 3x first team All Pro, and a member of the NFL's 90s all decade team. By keeping him out, the HOF committee is essentially saying that longevity is the only thing that matters because his resume has everything else on it.
