Don't think Anchrum is the silent commit... seems like he's a Clemson lean right now. If I had a guess I would guess the silent is Markell Simmons (JUCO CB) he visited for the Michigan State game but was very interested prior to that.

It could be him or Anchrum or Farniok, but it also could be someone that we have no idea about right now.

Well, in this case, it's a stud that chose the current #1 team in the country over us at the very end. And it's still a long ways away from signing day, and one thing this staff has shown is that verbal commitments mean jack shit to them.

Players can sign something called a BIG TEN TENDER, right now. I googled it and didn't find anything exciting so I didn''t click on it. It might be for players coming to school in January 2016.

It does make it so the player and school are committed. The school can talk to the player as much as they want to.

Is Patrick O'Brien signing one of these or has he signed one of these?

The only thing a Big Ten Tender does is prevents the player from going to play for another BIG school. If he tries to play for a BIG school, he loses 2 years of eligibility. He would be free to sign with any other conference and not lose any playing time. All the power 5 have something similar. Just prevents poaching in conference.

That's a financial aid agreement, which is different than a tender. It is essentially accepting his scholarship if I'm not mistaken. It's not 100 percent binding, but it is a good thing that he signed, since he is enrolling in January.
