Agreed. Only problem is that from what I recall there really isn't a lot of high end starters on the market. They'll have to be traded for and we all know Dan won't give up anything of value in our barren farm system. If we could trade Davis for one maybe since that'd let us keep Mancini at first and maybe give us enough room to sign Trumbo?

Free agent market for starting pitching is really bad. A couple guys that have good career eras but down last year; Andrew Cashner, Doug Fister. Jeremy Hellickson had a good year last year but that was in the NL. Career 3.90 era so he'll probably get a ton of money.

I'd love to have Hellickson. It really is slim pickins for SP though.

we have 6 starters with 3 that sucks . I still think the major issue is do we sign Trumbo as dh and put either davis or mancini in rf ? rickard is the 4 th outfielder . even with Nolan gone I still don't really like kim as our lf .

I think matt will sign another 1 yr. Pedro isn't going anywhere! Like the idea wright and Wilson battling for the 5 spot.

Jimenez and Garaldo have to go. Miley will probably work he can strike batters out. pearce will be gone again.

And for the love of God Buck has to quit the experimental 8th and 9th inning with new pitchers( if the GM wants to spend money go after Miller for a second tour of duty it could open a starting role for Givens or Brach) ...get the game over. Mancini has to be worked in

I know I've said this numerous times but I'll repeat it anyways. I really wish that we didn't sign Davis and used Trumbo as our 1B and signed Cespedes for the rumored amount that was being discussed last offseason. That way we could've saved a lot of money and put that towards an extension for Manny, Tillman or Trumbo.

Both Chiti and Wallace are heading down to Atlanta. If what Chiti saying is true (which wouldn't surprise me since it's DD we're talking about) then this is upsetting. I think he did a really good job with our bullpen and deserved a shot with the starting staff or stay in the bullpen if nothing else.

I believe a lot why he got upset was probably Duquette not returning his three phone calls, which I think is pathetic on Dan's part if that is indeed true. Or maybe it was because Buck was asking about someone else before him could be a reason as well. I'd like to hear from both Dan and Buck to see their side of the story though since there's always two sides to everything.

No way do I want Joseph catching full time. We need to go out and sign someone to be a one year fill in because Joseph was awful this past season. I also don't want Jones in that cleanup spot. If you move him, I'd move him down to 6th in that lineup. When Kim plays, I still like him batting 2nd since he's one of the more patient guys in the lineup and had a good OBP.
