#27 and #34 were never going to make a great impact. But they filled a hole at the PF who could end up getting 10 minutes a game or so in Nance.

Don't think he'll play the 4, he'd be awful small for that. He can step out and play outside some.

More of a defensive guy, Byron knows we need to be better defensively.

The Lakers need some perimeter defense. Don't know much about Nance but if he can play the 3 and plays good defense then this is just what the doctor ordered.

IMO, he'll play more 3.

A lot of NBA execs had him climbing the draft ladder, some even into the low first round.

I don't think there was a clear cut favorite for this spot, so they took one of the flex guys. At least this one has the genes of a former solid player. I figured these last two picks would be 50-50, one will make it a couple years, one won't. Roll the dice.

because they were planning for Kobe's replacement instead of drafting a bigger need for this season in Okafor.

Okafor has been the top rated player all season up until Towns LA workout, and all of a sudden the Lakers think he's garbage and take Russell instead.

they took more stock in a couple of workouts versus the tale of the tape. anyone can have a bad workout or two- it happens. game tape should have greater weight than a couple of workouts.

I think those workouts were the tipping point- hence, the overthinking.
