2015-16: Who Will Win - Ravens @ Broncos

I am thinking of a poll series to do this year. I'll see how long I can keep it up, but no guarantees.

First up was Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots, who wins? I'm not putting tie as an option, it's just not practical, though possible.

Next is Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos.

Manning has been a great QB but he gets frustrated when you keep pressure on him, and I believe we can..
He doesn't look comfortable in Kubes system to me, and we know it inside out.

I don't think much of the Broncos this year. I think the Ravens beat them rather easily.

Of course every season is different, and who knows who the suprise teams will be both better and worse than expected?

Not too sure actually. You never know what kind of team you'll be seeing coming out the gate.

Ravens have a lot new faces on offense so we'll see if they gel together quickly or later in the season.

I thought about this the other day. The Ravens play Miami @ Miami again this year too. Seems like this happens every single time we play them.

Was a hard call, but I gave Ravens the edge here. Broncos got a new HC going to take a bit to jell....I think.

The first few weeks of the season usually favors the home teams. Denver new offense so who knows what we'll really see? Baltimore new faces on the offensive side? Offense favors Den. Baltimore slightly stronger on the D. Mile high give the advantage to Denver in this one.

Baltimore has the entire OL returning for the first time in its history I understand... Our front 7 on D is as strong as any as well.


If the Ravens can stop Denvers run Ravens can win. If not Denver wins.

For the Ravens, it's gonna come down to getting TDs instead of FGs and the secondary stepping up against a pretty good WR group. Both seemed like a struggle in the preseason.

Week 1 is always tough to predict. Throw in 2 solid teams, one of which has undergone a lot of change and it gets even harder. Much has been made both here and everywhere else the Broncos offense has been discussed about the adjustments to the new scheme, untested O-line and so on. What seems to be getting overlooked is how insanely good this Broncos defense looks to be.

With all the change on offense, if JDR was still calling our D this game would be all Ravens and I don't think it would be close. But JDR is Oakland's problem now and in his place is a guy who believes in using players to their strengths and being aggressive instead of sitting back and letting the play develop to see what happens next.

The Broncos defense makes the difference in this one. Broncos 28, Ravens 17.

The Ravens obviously known Kubiak's system as he was their offensive coordinator last season. Wonder if this comes into play at all on Sunday...
