Yea I've been looking more and more into White… And honestly I don't see why PIT would not be interested in him. He's an excellent choice to fill the KR void, and he is serviceable for the zone blocking scheme. I could see Haley using him in a variety of ways.

Henderson is an interesting prospect. Clearly has all the athletic ability, but seems to be under-coached since he disappointed in college. I think with the right coach, hell who am I kidding, with Munchak (HOFer) as his coach he will be the best that he can be. If Adams doesn't pan out, then this kid could develop. Beachum may be stuck out there until he comes along lol.

I would be very happy with this draft. I don't know enough about the CB's (Watkins & Cockrell) to be excited about them, but for whatever reason it seemed like EVERYONE in the mock was only going after CB's in the 1st & 2nd. (Hence why we landed a 2nd round prospect in Martin in the 3rd). Which left the CB pool pretty thin in the 2nd round when our pick came along. Watkins was probably the best option, could have been Roberson, but I'm good with that pick. I know nothing of Cockrell other than he is very athletic, judging from his combine numbers. He was middle of the pack in almost every category, which is solid.

I really like this draft actually...Should get some immediate impact from Ebron...Watkins probably would be mostly a ST guy next yr, but has the potential to be the #2 guy...Martin could see some time as a rookie also. Plenty of depth picks. I agree, Henderson under a HOF position coach could be a great find that late.

If Colbert could pull this off I think most Steeler fans would be happy.

I've been hearing from a lot of people in the mock that Henderson is probably one of the most gifted OT's in the draft, but because of a combination of having an off year and character issues (missing pro day) his stock plummeted. Could be a gem that late in the draft! If anyone can sort out character issues, its the Steelers. I know a lot of people were concerned about Mike Adams' character, but not anymore.

Hats off Steeler!!

Seriously I don't think Colbert can do better than this.

I would take this draft right now and call it a day.

Sounds like the host of the past 2 mocks is going to have "dynasty mock" where they are doing players from 1990-present. Sounds ridiculous, yet entertaining. I'm not going to sign up, but I'd definitely help if someone wanted to take lead.

1 Rd: JaMarcus Russell
2 Rd: Limas Sweed

It's a good diversion throughout the day when I'm in...all this rain is wrecking my field training this month...only a few more projects before I have viewed all of the field operation functions from the ground up.

This is the dead zone for me...not a huge MLB fan, the NHL/NBA playoffs perk my interest a little, but neither filled the void for the the NFL...just a weekend thing, but good thing our golf season in getting into gear now...

Ready for the real draft and camps to start.

Sounds like we are the same type of fan... MLB, March Madness, & NBA Playoffs really help me, but doesn't quite fill the NFL void. I've never been huge on the NHL, but I do enjoy watching it in person with a beer in my hand, not so much on TV unless it's an important game.

Yep...NHL...same here...the NBA I've watched parts of the playoff games...the IND-ATL matchup is interesting if nothing else as the Hawks just seem to have their number and no one else. I can't remember the last time I watched an entire MLB game unless I was there.

Yeah...there's a void still.

I grew up playing baseball and if it weren't for an injury I suffered in my youth, I would probably still be playing today. I was very serious about it, but I was derailed and forced to quit (along with basketball). I grew up loving Griffey so my favorite team will always be the Mariners, and I have always been a proud supporter of the Pirates. The only sport I could play after the injury was football and ever since then I have become more and more addicted to the sport. I will always have a soft spot for the MLB, but it will never quite be the NFL-type entertainment for me.

I was a 2 guard playing C in HS basketball, because of a best for the team coach...small colleges interested, but never played at the college level.

As games go...baseball is still imo the most interesting sport...too much money killed MLB for me as a hardcore fan when the strike cancelled the season...the Braves would be the only team here that's my 1st team in that sport.

Just a massive media increase I guess really drowned my enthusiasm for the NBA reg. season...I remember when the NBA gm of the week came on Sunday and the Finals were on tape delay. We went from that to 2 or 3 game options a night...too much for me to absorb...so it's background until the playoffs.

I feel the same way about the NBA… Hard to absorb indeed. The NFL is headed in that direction with the additions of Thursday (and the occasional wednesday) night football. Not to mention the future plans of adding additional franchises and European teams. I won't even get into the proposal to increase the playoffs slots lol. If college football disappeared then NFL would be 6-7 days a week. :no idea:

Let's hope those changes are farther down the road than they predict.

They will soon kill the golden goose that is the NFL...18 gm season...once there is enough money in it for the players, they will concede. Extra playoff round...samething...3 primetime game slots, the NFL is now pushing the envelope to the max for more and more revenue. If gambling wasn't a challenge to the integrity of the game they would be looking at ways to create a revenue stream from gambling.

@ATL96Steeler @SteelersPride

Our 2014 mock:
1.15 - Eric Ebron, TE UNC
2.46 - Jaylen Watkins, CB Florida
3.97 - Kareem Martin, DE UNC
4.118 - Ryan Carrethers, DT Ark State
5.157 - Ross Cockrell, CB Duke
5.173 - Jeff Janis, WR Saginaw Valley
6.192 - James White, RB Wisconsin
6.215 - Seantrel Henderson, OT Miami (Fla.)
7.230 - Shaq Barrett, OLB Colorado St

Actual 2014 draft:
1.15 - Ryan Shazier, OLB Ohio St
2.46 - Stephon Tuitt, DE Notre Dame
3.97 - Dri Archer, RB Kent St
4.118 - Martavis Bryant, WR Clemson
5.157 - Shaquille Richardson, CB Arizona
5.173 - Wesley Johnson, OT Vand.
6.192 - Jordan Zumwalt, LB UCLA
6.215 - Daniel McCullers, DT Tenn
7.230 - Rob Blanchflower, TE Mass.

We were 8 for 9 on positions in 2014. But this was a strange draft how it played out for the Steelers. We knew going into the mock that it was going to be a BPA sort of draft. If it wasn't for our double dip at CB, we would have been a perfect 9/9 on positions. But in our defense, we picked up Ross Cockrell in our mock and he currently resides with the team! :thumb:
