:suds:SU Guard Trevor Cooney is going to average 20+ on the year.:suds:

You all will want in on the action.

We were hoping for that last year and I suspect he will not be much more effective next year as well. Hopefully I'm wrong as we suspected 2 years ago that this player was going to be special.

Cooney reminds me of Ross for OSU. He was outstanding when he had a great cast of players around him and not so great when he had to take on the lead role and be the man. Different story when you're the focus of the defense and there's no one to take the pressure off of you.

Zak Irvin, Michigan. He's the best shooter on the team, people just don't know it yet.

Call me crazy but I think Irvin could prove to be a slight upgrade over Stauskas, considering his length and ability to play defense.

And keep an eye on Walton Jr. and incoming frosh Kam Chatman. There should be plenty of shots to go around...

Koenig gave some great minutes, I like that kid. Wisconsin should be happy. He will be a great 4 year PG.

Depending on how it goes, he's just as likely to be a 3-year player. A 4-star player who turned down offers from Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, Virginia, etc. to stay in-state, and was hidden his freshmen year behind a veteran Final Four backcourt in a vet-dominated system is the perfect answer for the OP.

Your typical McD 5-star ain't a "breakout," sorry.

Guy was on the bench. If you go from the bench to All-American it is a break out. REcruiting rankings are relevant right up until your first college game.

He had a great 1st half during the Final Four, so I guess you could argue he's already broken out. With that being said, Bronson Koenig will be a star by the end of next year. I think he comes off the bench again next year with Nigel Hayes moving into the starting 5, but I think Bronson Koenig earns more of Bo Ryan's trust next year. Trae Jackson's transformation into a viable point guard has been nothing short of remarkable, but Koenig is a true point guard and it's a lot of fun to see him set up teammates.

He was benched all year and nobodies really heard of him.

Yes if he becomes a star next year, it is a "breakout" not sorry

Anthony Gill for Virginia could potentially have a breakout year. He's a physical 6'9 forward that has shown a nice skill set in the post.

How many times do I have to say this? If Cooney isnt hitting any 3 points shots he is basically usless. I expect the same bs from him this coming season as last season. Jonvi will you ever listen to me?

9. TEXAS

  • Notable players definitely gone: None
  • Others expected to leave: None
  • Notable players expected to return: Isaiah Taylor, Jonathan Holmes, Cameron Ridley, Javan Felix, Martez Walker, Kendal Yancy, Damarcus Croaker, Demarcus Holland, Connor Lammert, Prince Ibeh
  • Notable newcomers: Jordan Barnett
  • Expected to be a notable newcomer: Myles Turner

Either one of these 2 could do it. I think Taylor has an incredible year, if for no other reason than he could have 4 7 footers to throw the ball into and take pressure off him. Plus if he improves his jump shooting over the off-season he will be basically un-guardable.

What are you utterly confused about here, dumbfuck? I agreed with you outside the "4 year player" comment (because I think he's just as likely to be a 3 year player), the end.

I thought you were saying he was a 5 star guy and it wouldn't be considered a breakout.

Sorry bud misunderstood ya.

Everyone in the country is gonna know who Randy Gregory is. Granted he was all B1G in his first year at DE for Nebraska. He whipped Taylor Lewan all night long. He's basically unblockable.
