Tanking isn't going to happen. Neither is 3-10. The team is playing well. If SVG wanted to tank, he would have just stayed the course with Josh Smith.

Holy crap there are actually people on this board now!
The Pistons look re-energized since Smith's was cut. They are playing better as a team. They are setting up an offense and they are getting the ball inside.
Smith's absence even makes Jennings look better. His scoring avg is up and if it weren't for one low stat game @Orlando his assist avg would be up too (and scoring WAY up). Even when he isn't getting the assist he is setting up plays better and jacking up fewer bone headed shots (can we call them Josh Smiths?).

I'm glad they were able to get this streak to build some confidence during an easy stretch of the schedule. Hopefully they can at least look respectable against the good teams they are about to face.

Blowout of Dallas in Dallas without ever trailing. Monroe had a fantastic game, and Augustin was unstoppable for the 2nd consecutive night. This is unbelievable!

Big game at the Palace tomorrow night v. the Hawks. I'd expect there to be a good crowd.

I was a vocal advocate of trading Josh Smith away, but even I can't believe that the removal of one player (without getting anything in return) could pay such dividends. This is a completely different team.

Maybe I shouldn't be so surprised as Atlanta is on top of the East after being consistently middle of the pack and a first round out with Josh Smith.
