ok, so I cannot cut and paste all of the other posts to this thread and have this post be the header, so blah......

If you guys want to repost the videos, that would rock. I will sticky this and update it as we get more commitments!

I'm confused, is Holland Fisher a wideout or a LB?

He was recruited to play a safety spot, probably Rover. He could also play the Whip spot.

Jefferson has been recruited to play CB, but could play WR or FS.

foster wanted him at WHIP, fisher wants to play safety according to one of the articles posted in the recruiting thread

Fisher will get a look at Safety and Whip

Great news on the pickups this weekend!! I am particular excited to get Fisher (ESPN150) so early and to hear he might be getting a serious look at safety. Jefferson also looks like a very nice player. Keep on building depth on D. Now if we can get some solid offensive pieces this year...

if you watch closely, you can see that jefferson picked off joel caleb. ps, from the looks of his film, caleb could make a solid QB if we ever needed him to play the position. dont see it happening, but you never know

good point Matt .. he doesn't seems as polished of a passer as one would like -- but hell -- LT didn't come to Blacksburg thinking that he was going to be a star QB either. Considering our future QB situation, I'd say a good long look-see would be in order for Caleb at QB -- but I'd agree .. Don't see it happening

I think we also need to factor in the fact that he doesn't want to play QB, from everything I've heard. I know LT didn't either but I don't think we can count on always convincing players to play the positions we need.

Caleb looks a lot like Marcus Davis in HS imo.

I think that Caleb is a WR for us, or a slight possibility as a safety. He may get a look in the Spring at QB, but none of the coaches mentioned it as a possibility with him. Remember (lowly rated or not) Motley was brought in as a quarterback, and Cav was adamant that he would be there to start.

FWIW, Caleb was approved by the Tech staff to be recruited as a QB per Coach Cav.

Another recruit from the HILL! Glad to see another Hokie recruit from my high school.

This is the first I have been able to really sit down and watch Cequans video. Couple of thoughts:

1) He plays the ball very well
2) And with that he has great technique. He plays smart. Keeps his eyes on the QB and shoulders square. If he can't make a play on the ball then he plays the man.
3) He could work on tackling like most kids these days.

That being said, these were his Soph highlights. I'd love to see how he progressed last season.

^ not the greatest (and of course you can take it down if you like) but at least we can keep the conversation flowing. :)
