The scary thing is... they play the Mets and Twins the next 6 games. How long will this thing go? Even the offense is doing what needs to be done.

I like us to get at least a couple more. Maybe ends at 11 or 12.... fuck, I probably just jinxed us.

The question of when to call up Duffy should start to be pondered soon. He would probably be a dramatic improvement (even if his era was say 4.3) over Davis who has been shown to be excellent from the bullpen in Tampa. His numbers are too inconsistent -- with most of his starts being just awful in an otherwise solid starting rotation. His W.A.R. ( Wins Above Replacement) was nearly -2.0 at one point... That is well below replacement. think of a replacement level team as around a 95 loss team and you'll realize just how bad as a whole Davis has been as a starter.

Maxwell continues to impress me so far. Not a bad bat to have when it is on the bench. As a starter though? No. Okay, he can start against Lefties.

Oh, and Danny Duffy is heading to KC today and will likely start on Wednesday against the Twins.

I am just hoping for a good game tonight. Hopefully for me that entails a Royals victory with Santana on the mound, but I am sure you want the opposite to be true. Plenty of interesting pitching matchups in this series.

This team since the All Star break..... IDK, this is the most fun I've had watching the Royals since the Brett days when I was a kid.

Jose Fernandez has allowed two or fewer earned runs in five straight starts. This kid is the real deal, I just hope we can get him out early tonight.
