2012 Draft Signings

Any way you look at it, yesterday was a HUGE, GREAT day for us farm-nerds!! The Giants minors-value took a HUGE jump!!!

The bottom line is that all of these guys are 3-5 years out from sniffing the bigs, which is fun for speculation purposes, prognostications and envisioning a dynasty, but the reality is there will be at least 5-10 more guys in every organization getting the exact same comparisons, during their entire time in the minors. Still fun, though...

This is why I am refraining from putting guys like Mejia, Fuentes, Rodriguez, Cabrera, Javier, Jones, Galindo, etc into my top 10 lists. They are just tooooo young.

I include Crick and Blackburn because while they are young, they are performing at legit pro-levels. Performance means it is no longer pure potential.

Reports that both Agosta (2) and Williamson (3) have signed, but I have not seen anything official yet...

If true, this means all the "important" picks are in the fold, and really only Ryan Tella (11 - college OF) remains of the top 29 picks.
