have they ever done a would this team beat these teams since then? I remember a week long thing they went through a whole list of great teams saying USC would beat most of them. as great as Alabama has been in this sec run they haven't been compared at that level. yeah texas beat them in 2005. remember a few key plays benefitting texas. vince young knee being down on one run before pitching it wasn't called. a fumble on a lateral by reggie bush was proven to have been a forward pass should have been a penalty instead of turnover...but even with all that help USC still had a 2 score lead with 5 minutes left and couldn't hold it.
