Saw on twitter it was a legit IED of some sort but it was supposed to be a practical joke that didn't turn out too well, not intended to hurt anyone and there is a good chance the charges can be reduced in court.

The "Works" stuff that they used in the video is some good stuff. We have a lot of iron in our water, so it stains the toilets pretty easily. The Works stuff is the only cleaner that will clean the toilet back to new looking every time.

If that's really all it was then I have absolutely no problem with that, and the charges ought to be dropped. I'm not sure that even meets the standard of an explosive device LIS > Code of Virginia > 18.2-85
