We need to treat our walk-ons better. I thought 1600 was Chasewood Downs but I could be wrong. Trimble is a special teams demon but Rody has not played at all. He is a giant backup QB I think.

Rody has a rocket for an arm also. Trimble we will miss, Rody was maybe 3rd string QB (4th possibly)

I'm thinking they are speaking of losing them for the bowl game (initially). Unless they were throwing pipe bombs around the neighborhood I would expect this to be dropped or at least reduced and they SHOULD get another shot.

Some of these kids just don't get it. Anytime you hear about something like this happening, wait for all the VT football player twitter feeds to blow up with a bunch of "don't judge. everybody makes mistakes", "unless you're perfect. don't go around pointing fingers" ... funny that:

a) they try to justify this kind of behavior and use the "i'm a college kid" bullshit as an excuse
b) they haven't realized yet that they're football players for Virginia Tech, pretty much the biggest sports thing going in the entire state .. With that comes attention, celebrity, and scrutiny.

Saw on twitter it was a legit IED of some sort but it was supposed to be a practical joke that didn't turn out too well, not intended to hurt anyone and there is a good chance the charges can be reduced in court.
