31-0 over Michigan

What more could we ask for, a perfect ending to a hated rivalry. I really wish that final pick 6 would have stood.

Defense looked really good. And again, the defensive line looked strong, in my opinion.

Offensively:

Golson: 23-34 226 3 TD's

Fuller: 9 catches for 89 yards and a TD
Carlisle: 7 catches for 61 yards and 2 TD's

Golson made some really nice, NFL type throws. And other than McDaniel punching one in on the ground, the running game looked bad.

0 turnovers.

All in all, I couldn't be happier. We have now started the season 2-0 with 2 blowout victories. Now let's go handle Purdue!

Agreed all around. Of course they sold out to force us to pass. And they paid the price. This isn't the same kid two years ago and this isn't, no disrespect, Tommy Rees. I am going to savor this. I hope they can build on it.

Just saw this stat about the relevance of this win.

This marks the first time in this rivalry that ND has shutout Michigan and the first time they've been shutout since 1984 (which was done by the Iowa Hawkeyes - probably during Chuck Long/Ronnie Harmon's career). That's about all the 'savor' one needs, no?

Van Gorder at the end of the game. Love his excitement.

Im liking him better Diaco. Im really shocked with this D. I can't believe how good they look. 8 new starters, young team, walk on starter. this is crazy.

Also credit to Kelly and the offense. They are looking awesome. Fuller looking like the real deal.

Please no let down game next week. Lets keep building. Here is a question. Say we go 11-1 and lose to FSU u think we can still make the playoffs.

It would probably depend on how everything else plays out but with the schedule they are playing they would have as good a shot as any.

I think its funny that every timeB. Kelly mentions 31-0 he says it a little higher/louder.

What a great game. Safeties answered the call, Defense played almost lights out, Passing offense was awesome, Oline had great pass protection.

Only Negative was we couldn't run the ball but I think thats how Mich game planned for us. They had 6-7 in the box at all times.

I know everyone I saw was picking Mich. I didn't get it. We were the home team. I can understand if Mich was at home but we were the ranked home team. ESPN hates ND.

Very convincing win. They'll need to have everything working if they want to make a serious run this year. Brutal, brutal schedule still. USC/Stanford obviously, @Arizone State, @FSU, throw in Louisville. Unbelievably difficult schedule.
