He's about the 3rd or 4th best defensive player. His replacement is pretty darn good. Next man up.

Yup, think you are right, however last few games Michigan State is doing better on offense....probably one of the best defenses in the country. Have to be as the offense kept giving the ball back and they still won with the exception of that pathetic loss to Notre Dame early. That said, Cook is a better player and Langford is a game changer. Both Stanford and Michigan St only give up 12-14 points a game and score about 30. This one could be 0-0 at the half...haven't seen that for awhile.

Stanford has looked down right pedestrian at times, and unbeatable at others. Losing to Utah was inexcusable, but they put a beat down on several teams and took out the Goliath of the conference. Of course their beat down of ASU now looks far less impressive after TT tore them up as well.

The question today will be can MSU effectively stop the power run. I'm not asking if they can stop the run in general, but stop Stanford's power run. Many teams who are solid against normal running teams fail against their power sets.

This really could go either way, but have to stick with Ford and their solid defense and punishing ground game.
