Man i hope JVR lives up to your expectations. Especially since he probably will be playing against 2nd line players this season and not third.
To put up 30 he is going to have to be on the top PP unit. Who's spot does he take Simmer or Patrick?Me too! I expect him to be around 30 goals. If he's not, i'll consider that a disappointment. I think he'll get there though.

This looks good and yes i agree we should have two good PP's next season. i would think if Simmer was really hurt last season and his game suffered because of this and he comes back next year healthy he is on the top PP and JVR plays second unit.Well last year the top unit was Simmer or Patrick. And I think you just add JvR to the mix at the net front. One of those 3 should play there, with the usual Giroux, Couturier, Voracek, and Ghost. IMO, that should be JvR or Simmonds, because I think Patrick can bring more value to the 2nd unit.
Giroux/JvR/Couturier/Ghost/Voracek
Patrick/Simmonds/Konecny/Provorov/Sanheim
Is how I would lay them out. With Patrick playing the Giroux role, Simmonds playing the Jvr role, Konecny playing the Couturier role, etc. And I would consider JvR and Simmonds essentially interchangeable. The problem I see with that though is the handedness. Both Patrick and Konecny are righties, so the 'Couturier spot' doesn't really work. ATM I can't think of a good fix for that. Would be a little unorthodox, but you could put Sanheim there and push Konecny over to the Voracek spot. Could also put Lindblom there, Konecny on the right and keep Sanheim on the bench.
At the end of the day though, there's no reason they shouldn't have two useful PP units this season.
Think he gets time on PP1 or mostly PP2? He, Patrick, Provorov, Koneckny and Sanheim would be a pretty good 2nd unit.Me too! I expect him to be around 30 goals. If he's not, i'll consider that a disappointment. I think he'll get there though.
I'm leaning towards JVR on the 2nd unit. That unit does look pretty good. Hope it can come through bc the 2nd unit has been dog shit the past few years.Think he gets time on PP1 or mostly PP2? He, Patrick, Provorov, Koneckny and Sanheim would be a pretty good 2nd unit.
We need to have 2 good PP units to counteract our dog shit PK.I'm leaning towards JVR on the 2nd unit. That unit does look pretty good. Hope it can come through bc the 2nd unit has been dog shit the past few years.
Either way the depth is better no matter if JVR plays 2nd or 3rd line minutes. This looks good and yes i agree we should have two good PP's next season. i would think if Simmer was really hurt last season and his game suffered because of this and he comes back next year healthy he is on the top PP and JVR plays second unit.
Second PP is better by miles than in the last several years on paper. I hope it translates onto the ice. That would be nice since we could use two solid PP units.Either way the depth is better no matter if JVR plays 2nd or 3rd line minutes.
