Yeah, heard that last night. I'm really disappointed that FSD won't be allowed to carry round two like they had before.

Even more so since they have a pro Hawks announcer in Edzo like you said. :L

i still think it's bullshit that he's allowed to call nationally televised games involving the hawks

So far as I know, the days and times of the other games have not been announced?

I think CBC will lobby hard to get the Hawks - Wings series if the Leafs are eliminated tonight (a lot of Wings fans in Ontario (including south Detroit aka Windsor))

So naturally, I read this and google searched "meanwhile in Windsor."

It came up with this:

and i have to give credit where credit is due

ericsson has probably been the wings best defensman so far in the playoffs. complete transformation. along with kronwall, the top pairing has been rock solid

If CBC does get the Hawks-Wings series, I have a feeling Jim Hughson will do the play-by-play and Craig Simpson would be the analyst. Hughson is pretty good when he's not calling a Canucks game.

Now, that the next round begins both the Kings and the Wings will have to face an added burden. The Kings will face the flop-a-mania each game, while the Wings will somehow have to offset the advantages that one of the biggest crybabies in the history of the leaguet from his crying, whenever any call doesn't go his way. Q-tears might just be on the rampage in this next round.

The Red Wings' young kids held their own against the Ducks. We might just call them the Kid Line, if there hadn't been a famous one in the NHL back in the day;so, let's call them the Young Nuisance Line, instead. Okay, boys, now it's time to put a few thorns in the sides of those Black Swacks. I hope the refs have plenty of kleenex ready for Q-tears when he starts crying about the calls.

Detroit has to correct, or at least minimize, the amount of turnovers in the defensive zone. Chicago will be much better at punishing those type of mistakes than Anaheim.

I saw it at the Movie Theater. Was in tears most of the time, especially that part...(snort snort, spit)

Still can't believe Ducks blew that series.

I think that you missed something here - Jimmy Howard stole that series, as had been done several times to the Wings in the past.

Via nhl.com-

Helm will not return for this series (back)

Miller (fractured finger) may return if the series goes long enough

Chicago is 9-0-1 their last ten regular season games vs Detroit

I probably would have estimated round 1 as being 55-45 in favor of Anaheim.

In this series, I think Chicago are the favorites by 70-30 or higher. Howard is going to have to be spectacular and we cannot turn the puck over so frequently if we're going to pull off this upset.

I didn't expect the Wings to make it past the Ducks, they played one hell of a series and yes Jimmy stoled a couple of those games.

Considering last years team had Nick, Homer and Stewy and bombed out in the first first round, no matter what the outcome of the Hawks and Wings series these boys can hold their heads up high.

The future wings team is looking better than I thought :yahoo:

You couldn't ask for a better playoffs to get our youngsters some experience for next year's run. They played a hard-nosed Ducks team and survived back-to-back elimination games. Now they get to play everyone's Stanley Cup pick for a whole series. The atmosphere in Chicago and Detroit is going to be phenomenal.
