You're assuming that he isn't one of the 5 best starters in the organization and therefore can be replaced by someone better, but won't because of his contract? Because that's the only way his deal has hurt their ability to win.

This is becoming fun, how David Price finishes every season with solid numbers baffles me, the guy seems to have nothing, and get shelled every time im watching him

I honestly see Pujols every time I watch Sanchez swing, and it makes me wonder if being a catcher is the best move for him going forward in his career

BK -Think the Yankees make an offer to keep Pineda? Probably be short on starters in 2018, especially if Tanaka ever does get surgery, wonder if they make a 3 year type offer, which im not totally against, but id cap it at 3 years

.270ish with 15-20 HR is about what i expect.

Currently at 10 HRs for the year. 6 since June 1st. Oh yeah he missed about a month of action as he was out from April 9th-May 5th. You really think as long as he stays healthy that 15-20 HR is what to expect from this guy? He will approach 30 HR even though he missed a month of action.

I never said this season. Thats what i expect for his career after the correction.

You don't think you're blowing it a bit out of proportion though? Price wasn't horrible last season. He had his worst season and didn't live up to expectations, sure, but he was still pretty damn good. So what are we going off? 3 starts this year?

No, I am not... The money he is getting he is set at a higher bar.. One that he hasn't reached imo. Has he been god awful, no but not what he was brought to Boston to do imo.

My biggest problem with the Price deal from Day one (well, not really a problem for me) was that the Sox are a team that expects to be in the postseason, especially in the Papi days...I couldnt see giving that money to a guy that has a pretty long track record of being atrocious in the postseason........
