Hell of a hire. If he can manage to keep the recruiting class, I'd imagine they make the NCAA's in year 1.

Wow, I thought he had a decent gig going at Oklahoma State. OSU looked, much, much better than the 10 seed they ended up being. Had my eye on them for next year.

This guy spent only one season at Oklahoma State. I wonder how long he'll stay at Illinois.

Gotta love the thought of going up against Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Michigan State instead of going up against Kansas and West Virginia.

That would be a strange reason, considering Okst and the Big12 are both better if it's just basketball related.

Seems a bit puzzling to me something couldn't have been worked out. Must have been a sweet pot for him to leave. Major steal for Illinois.

He was making far less than any other coach in the Big 12. So does this mean the Juwan Evans is gone too?

He'd be in Chicago's back yard. lots of money, exposure, and talent. Unfortunately at OSU he's limited. Good move on his part.
