Heck of a win for Creighton, winning on the road at Xavier without Watson for the whole 2nd half. Don't look now, but Xavier could be in some trouble if they don't turn it around. Have a good OOC opportunity at Cincy, but that'll obviously be a tough game. And have the three return games against Nova/Butler/Creighton. If they lose all 4 of those and don't take care of business(which won't be easy with road games at Marq/SHU/Prov) watch out.

I think X will be OK. Tough part of the schedule.

I think they'll be fine too. Their SOS numbers are going to be awfully good. I just crunched the numbers and even if they finish 20-11 they'll still have a top 30 RPI(this is going into the Big East Tournament). A 10-8 BE record would probably have them in the 4/5 game in the Big East Tournament, my guess is even if they were to lose that they'd be fine. It'll be crazy though if they do lose in the return games against the top 3 in conf and lose to Cincy they will have maybe 1 or 2 top 50 wins heading into selection Sunday.

As for Creighton they are really setting themselves up to be a 2/3 seed if not better. Really hope Watson is okay to play by the tournament.

Brutal news for Creighton. Watson is out for the year with a torn ACL. Has an injury this monumental happened since Cincy lost Kenyon Martin to a leg injury? Creighton was a legit title contender IMO.

This is devastating. Hurts me and I'm a damn conference rival fan.

Don James for Marquette back in 08/09 was very similar as well. I still have the what ifs

Brutal. I'm upset. They really had a chance to do something special. Not the title I don't think, but definitely Final 4. Furthermore, they were a really fun team to watch.

One that comes to mind is Purdue losing Robbie Hummell. That team was a legit contendor.

Yea. New conference. I find myself rooting for the other teams cause it will be better for Nova in the long run. In the short term, it's good for Marquette though. They have a chance for 2 wins in what otherwise would have been in my eyes a total mismatch.

Played three games and decided that he wasn't going to have as prominent as a role as he thought on a team that wasn't as good as he thought it was going to be.

They don't really need him, not like Creighton needs Watson at least.

Watson or no Watson. That was an offensive clinic.

If this team could play D and/or close out a fucking game they'd be really good.

Eye test this is easily a tourney team. Reality...hangin on for dear life

They're going to benefit from Watson's injury. They should beat Creighton again at home. That's five BE wins with still 6 games left against the bottom of the league and chances to beat tourney teams with Villanova, Butler, and Xavier at home.

If they don't make it this year, Wojo should be gone.

Ken Pom has us finishing 13-5 which is laughable but man this team drives me nuts. Could be 6-1 right now. Should be at least 5-2. But coming into the season MU fans said "go 3-5 in the first 8 and we are in excellent shape" and most expected 2-6 at best. Now it's guaranteed 4-4.

So yeah we are in great shape in that regards. But we have such small room for error with our roster. Could easily beat Xavier once or twice. Or win at home vs Creighton/Butler. But we could slip up vs the bottom 3 as well.
